I just graduated from my PhD degree. During the last phase of my studies, I was already working part time. I received my letter of completion of my degree about a week ago. I went with an immigration adviser at my university and they told me that since the moment I receive my letter of completion, my study permit does not longer allows me to work in Canada and as such I had been working illegally for the past week. They suggested me to be honest and declare this on my post-graduation work permit application, since it is a relatively common occurrence and not a big deal.
My question is, do I risk getting my post-graduation work permit rejected for this? Would it be better if I just don't declare this on my application?
Thank you for your responses!
