worked 16 months in canada, eligible for PR under Canadian Experience Class ?

Hi All,

I have been working in Canada since June 2010 on work permit but have breaks in between as I travelled back to India and came to Canada.

Initially I came on June 2010 for 4 months, later I came in Jan 2011 for 8 months. Then again in Jan 2012 for 10 months project and currently in Toronto.

So far I completed 16 months of working experience in Canada and got pay slips. Am I eligibe to apply for PR under Canadian Immigration Class ?

Hi Buddy.. Looks like you are temporary foreign worker. As per CIC, you should have 24 months of skilled work experience in Canada. I think you need to wait 8 more months.

Thanks for your quick response.

I heard recently Canadian Govt is planning to reduce the CEC minium experince to 1 year instead of 2 years

So was curious about it
