Work Visa received, Job offer on Hold for few months

Dear All, There is a situation where I have received my work visa W1 with multiple entries for 2 years. Received POE letter. I have informed to my employer way back about my travel plans and remind them time after time. Just before 2 days of my travel, my employer email me that they hire someone on temporary basis and my job is on Hold. My immigration representative advised that "you can travel and obtain the work permit from POE. If the employer given the job then you can carry on or find some different options and apply new work permit with them. While having conversation with the employer I came to know that they willing to offer me some job but still they not confirmed me 100%.

What can be done better in this case ?

So your employer no longer needs you. At POE, you must show employment letter. You can’t just get a new work permit. You need another LMIA and work permit, and this can take many months.

You can enter Canada and obtain the closed work permit. However you can only use this work permit to work for your current employer and in the job that was originally offered to you.

If you want to change employers or work in a different job, then you need to apply for a new work permit which requires a new LMIA.

Shall I obtain the close work permit with current employer ?

You can enter Canada and obtain the closed work permit. However you can only use this work permit to work for your current employer and in the job that was originally offered to you.
