Hi,

when getting a job offer before applying for a working visa does it need to be for a permanent job? Can you still apply for a work visa if you were offered a job as a casual employee?

Thanks,
Jess

The job does not have to be permanent. A job can be casual but long term, so if you want to stay longer in Canada, you want to find a job that is at least 1 year in length.

Job can be casual but you will be tied to a single employer. You can't work multiple jobs at the same time.
