Work, school and activities in the past 5 years

Can we list multiple activities for the same time period? For example, let's assume a homemaker attends part time English classes for a few months. If we list those English class activities, do we need to have a break/discontinuity in the 'homemaker' line entry for those months, or can we let the homemaker entry run in parallel for that period as well?
