Hello,

I am having some difficulties with the work reference letter. I have contacted in advance my supervisor from my previous company but it seems she does not work there anymore. I might have trouble getting the right type of work letter format in time (the company is in Italy).

However, I still have the original signed contract where all the required information is clearly stated (the type of job, hours, supervisor, department, salary etc..). In your opinion, would that be acceptable?

Thank you in advance!

The issue with contract is that you might actually not do all what is stated in the contract e.g. duties, hours worked, salary etc as companies can change your roles, timings, compensation etc any time. So it is not ideal and should only be used as a last resort.
