I HEREBY CREATING THIS GROUP BASED ON THE COMMENTS I HAVE SEEN FROM ONE OF OUR FORUM GROUP.AS LIBERALS HAS PROMISED TO REDUCE PROCESSING TIME FOR FAMILY SPONSORSHIP, ONLY THE INLAND APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN SEEN GETTING BENEFITED.NOW A DAYS THE INLAND APPLICATION SEEMS TO GET FINALIZED IN A MOTH OR TWO. AT THE SAME TIME OUTLAND APPLICATIONS INCLUDING ME HAVE A LONG WAIT PERIOD OF 19 0R MORE MONTHS. AND THE IMMIGRATION IS NOT APPROVING ANY TRV AS THERE IS A SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION IS SUBMITTED OR IN PROCESS. AND WE HAVE TO WAIT YEARS TO SEE OUR SPOUSES.AS YOU KNOW THE INLAND APPLICATION HAS A PILOT PROGRAM TO GET OPEN WORK PERMIT THEY ARE MORE PRIVILEGED. WE NEED TO FILE A PETITION REGARDING THIS SITUATION TO THE IMMIGRATION MINISTER AND THE PETITION BEING FORMULATED BY ANOTHER FELLOW MATE. WE NEED 500 OR MORE PEOPLE TO SUBMIT THE PETITION AND EVERYONE WHO IS AT LEAST LOOKING FOR A TRV TO BE WITH THEIR SPOUSES NEED TO SUPPORT US DOING THIS TO ASK THE LIBERALS WERE LYING TO US ABOUT STREAMLINING THE PROCESS. THANK YOU AND WE WILL POST THE NEW LINK TO BE AN ATTENDANT OF THIS PETITION SOON AND WILL NOTIFY UNDER THIS TOPIC. PLEASE JOIN US IN OUR WAR TO GET OUR APPLICATION EXPEDITED OR GETTING A TRV WHILE WAITING. THANK YOU.

I am with you all.
I was thinking would Facebook page will help more? This way we can ask our canadian friends to join us as well and that can become more supportive and we can get more attention.
I will be looking for option to go on a radio talk by emailing cbc as well.

There should be a special spouse TRV for non visa exempt spouses of Canadians who have a sponsorship application being processed.

But just so you know, inland apps aren't being finalized in 2 months.. It's the Americans processed outland through Ottawa who are being finalized in 2 months.

My wife has a TRV and she got it before we sent our application. Does this mean she can come here to Toronto then just renew/extend her stay and apply for a work permit, change our application to inbound and get her PPR in less than 6 months or earlier? Is this even possible?

I mean, it does make sense that those with TRV and applied for a work permit will have their applications processed faster due to the fact that a spouse is already working along with paying taxes and they don't really need that much investigation about their background due to the fact that the TRV has been issued as well as a work permit.

If this route is faster I think I need to talk to my wife in regards to this matter.

2 months processing for inland?.....in your dreams...try 2 years!! IT takes 5 months just to get the work permit! And if you want the same rights that means you are happy to no longer have the right of appeal? If an inland application is refused for any reason, misunderstanding or not....thats it, go home. You guys have 3 levels of appeal. Lets be honest you don't want ALL the rights...only the work permit. I would love outland processing time..in my country 6 months, but I gave it up to be with my wife...I'm sure everyone here weighed up the pro's and cons's of outland via Inland prior to starting the process. Each route has something that is good. We went those routes for that reason, so to now say he has cow poo on a stick and I want the same....lol. I don't think your petition should be about this topic at all, but rather spouses having the right to join their partners and a visa made for this...like the American Spousal visa.
