Hi

My Temporary Work Visa was refused for the second time. In both cases, it was refused by the same reason: "You were not able to demonstrate that you adequately meet the job requirements of your prospective employment.".

On the first time, I included my Resume, University Certificate, Reference letters from my latest 2 companies. I have plenty of experience in my field (IT), and I have worked in different countries, in both South America and Europe, with exactly the same technologies of my prospective employment.

When I applied for the second time, I included a long letter from the technology director of the Canadian company, explaining why I was important to the company and how my knowledge would help the company grow. But again, it wasn't enough.

I would like to know if any of you have already experienced this problem, and if so, if you were able to solve it in any way. I am currently with no idea about how to solve that.

Thanks.

Have you ordered your case notes to see more details about why you were refused? If not - you should.

Sorry to hear that.
Total number of years of experience match with what employer has posted? Especially, on the technology or the domain? Generally, IT people will have experience on different technologies.

How many days did they take to let you know the result?

@scylla: Thanks, I didn't know about the notes. Do you have more info about that?

@Intocanada: It exceeds the years of experience that the employer has posted, always using the exactly same technology of the company.

The first time, they replied after 18 days. The second took around 35 days.

Sorry to hear that u are having problems. Im currently waiting for an answer to my working permit application. its been a month and nothing yet.
So they didnt send you any email asking you to provide more documents or something? they just sent you an email denying the permit? Also could u tell me where are u from? Im from Mexico and did the application online, it said the average time for processing was 1 month, im getting nervous :(

Exactly, they have only denied and closed the application immediately. I am from Brazil and I have also applied online. Now I am looking for options on that, to see what can still be done in order to understand what happened. Good luck with your application, I am sure you won't have any problem

mmmm... probably u already sent an email right? I sent one and it says it can take up to 1 month to get an answer, but in your case I think its necessary u d it. Also maybe u can go and apply directly in the office this time, not sure if in brazil u can talk to someone there who may give u instructions on what to do now. here in mexico its impossible to ask in person or by phone, only mail is available.
Good luck!! hope u can get it
