Hi Everyone! Does anyone here had an experience like mine? I am going to process my work permit outside canada. What stopping me is the upcoming surgery of both of my parents. The doctor told us that they need assistance during the recovery. But canada no longer allowing to process work permit if you are under visitor’s visa. You must process it outside and wait more than 18weeks. My Question is, Can I go back to canada after giving all the required docs and info to my home country while waiting for the decisions? Thank you in advance.

There's nothing stopping you from returning to Canada after applying however it's possible this might impact the approval of your work permit. Assuming it's a priority for you to be with your parents, you'll just have to take that risk.
