Work permit

Hi,
I wanted to ask if anyone can help me to resolve my situation.
My husband has a work permit for 2 years and my son was born in July here in Canada and I have a tourist permit me expires at the end of October.
Can anyone tell me if I can get a work permit through my husband's name? If you like I can do without having to go to a lawyer?

It depends if the your spouse;s job is skilled at level A, B or O of the NOC. If so, then you would eligible to apply for an open work permit.
