Hi friends

Is there a difference between work permit and visa?

I was having a conversation with someone today and he told me that there is a difference.

When we apply online for work permit on our GC key, what is that? Are we applying for work permit or visa there?

Please guide me, i am flummoxed.

Permit and visa are the same thing. You are applying for a work permit so assume you have a LMIA or eligible as a spouse/student.
