I am in Alberta, and I am applying for my work permit ($150) with a positive LMO in skill level B.

Should I apply for my wife and son's visitor's status ($75 each) separately as well? Or is it just given to them based on my work permit status?

One more question: Can my wife apply for open work permit with my skill level B work permit?

Please advice. Thank you in advance.

You should apply for your wife and son's TRV based on your work permit and your wife can apply for an open work permit based on your work permit.

At http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/work/work-faq06.asp it says that if you all apply together, you will not need to fill out separate forms.
