Work permit under extension - need to leave Canada before that

Hi ,
my situation is like this :

1. My current WP is expiring on 30/04/2010
2. I had applied for extension of the WP on 01/04/2010 - normally it takes 40-50 days so I think it will be processed by 20/05/2010 MAX
3. I would be in "implied" status for the period when I get the extended WP

However I may need to go back to my home country before I get my extended WP

In this scenario, will this affect my chances of getting another WP sometime in near future - will Immigration raise an issue for this scenario ?

Just go to nearest immigration office and get anoda WP.explain to them and you will get your work permit out before it gets expired.

Mine got expired too i was without work permit for two months but i later went to St.clair and got it done.The application i sent to the main office was sent back to me and my money was refunded.

Yes it is. When mine expired,i went there and i got my status restored back and my work permit extended.
