Work Permit to PR

Hi,

I would appreciate your help on this matter as I have my work permit currently and have applied for PR on my own and have received a request to submit my passport.

Will I have to quit my existing job, handover the work permit or what is the process for this ? Can I continue working on PR and just inform my employers?

You won't have to quit your job! They will cancel your work permit when you make the landing, but that doesn't matter - as a permanent resident, you have the right to work in Canada.

You will have to inform your employer, of course, but that should be an easy conversation since you just made it even easier for them to keep you employed - they don't need to worry about renewing your work permit, getting you a visa.. none of that is needed now.
