Good Afternoon,

I have just received a letter of approval for my Permanent Residency, with the instruction to re-enter the country by October. My question is, my work permit is due to expire April 18th, do I need to cross the border and re-enter before the work permit expires? I cant seem to find a clear cut answer anywhere. Thank you so much for any help!

No - you don't need to cross the boarder and re-enter before your work permit expires. However if you wait until after your work permit expires, then you will need to stop working on April 18th and you won't be able to start working again until you have landed.
