Work Permit - Tied to Business

Hey There,

Could anyone offer some guidance. I have a Work Permit tied to a specific company, currently I am on lay off. If the company doesn't bring me back or goes bankrupt can I do anything to stay working in Canada even though my permit was tied to them somewhere else? (all COVID-19 related obviously)

You’d have to find another company to go thru the LMIA process , your current work permit wouldn’t be transferable

You can remain in Canada without working until your WP expires.
