Has anyone gone this route...???
I'm a Canadian citizen living in Australia with my (Oz) partner. As he has been supporting me here, I suspect I may not be approved as a sponsor in Canada. He is eligible for a work permit so we thought that may be the best route to take, and apply for sponsorship a year or so down the track.
Has anyone taken this route, and if so - did you have any issues with having sponsorship approved? Any advice regarding timing...???
Any help/comments appreciated.
Thanks!

There are no minimum income requirements to sponsor a spouse.

I would recommend you join the Family Sponsorship section of this forum and read through the discussions there.
