Hi, - asking for a family member -
Some background information: Temporary work permit, Mexican (therefore, an ETA is needed for tourists)
My family member is a temporary worker, he and his wife went on a trip to Greece. Just as their trip was starting (yesterday), someone stole from their bag the folder where both of their work permits were.
They have a copy of the work permits, but since they don't have an ETA, how can they travel back to Canada? My concern is that they might not be able to get ETAs because they have a different status and the airline might not allow them to board with a copy of their work permit. They are traveling back in 10 days from London to Calgary.
Have any of you had a similar situation or has knowledge of what to do?
