Work permit renewal

I am in Canada with a Work permit, by the time I got it I didn't need a LMO since this category was exempt from it (Information technology Workers - Application Developer), however this program finished on October 2010. I want to renew my work permit but I don't know if I need to get a new LMO or if this exemption still apply for the renewal.

Can somebody advice on this?

Yes, you need LMO and your employer needs to advertise for the position before sending in the LMO application in your favour, except if you are in BC or Quebec but this too will soon end.
