Work permit refused - business visitor instead

Hello,

My name is Jonas and I will be travelling to Canada for 3 months in May. I applied for an Intercompany Transfer Work permit. Lacking of knowledge in those matters, I thought this was what I needed.
However, after having received my refusal, I did a lot of research and it turned out, all I need is a business visa (incl. eTA)

Now, I am afraid that I might run into problems when entering Canada because of my refused work permit application. Is it safe for me just to do the eTA application and the application for a business visa or can I clarify that applying for a work permit was wrong in the first place.

There is no such thing as "buisness visa"... and also you either have a TRV or an eTA, not both.

Nonetheless you only will have to explain to the CBSA officer assessing your case that the WP was the wrong application. That's it.

What do you mean by "buisness visitor"? There is no such thing.

If you enter you will have a status of "visitor".
