work permit query

Hi friends,
I am from India. I am new to this forum and based on the posts seen by me in this forum I am expecting good replies from you all. I have completed my masters degree in Chemistry and have over 5 years of work experience as Quality control analyst in a Pharmaceutical Industry. My age is 34 and I am planning to pursue a 1 year full time pharmaceutical diploma program in Canada. I have found the similar program in private colleges and institutes but not in publicly funded colleges. My major intention of taking up the program is to get work permit after completion of my studies. So after completion of my diploma program for 1 year from a private college/ institute would I be eligible for a work permit. What are my chances of getting the work permit?? What are my options? Please guide me with my query.

You'll need to do more research. Not all private colleges qualify you for a work permit.

anyways, you already have a masters. I doubt you would get a visa for a diploma.... its like going back to secondary school after bachelors. and that even from a private college, makes it even tougher.

Have you looked into getting a job using your work experience? Might be easier to get a work permit.
