Work Permit Processing Time - Oman

Good Day,
I need some help on how to follow up on my work permit application

I received my positive

Owner Operator LMIA in July 2020
Applied for Work Permit and Family on 25 Sep 2020
Biometrics completed on 28th Sep 2020

There was a ghost update in the second week of October 2020. After that, there have been no changes online.

When I applied it was 18 weeks of processing time from Oman and this gradually had reduced to 11 weeks currently. Should I reach out to IRCC by emailing them or calling them? What is the best way to find out what's happening to the processing of my application?

Hi rajkumarl, we've been waiting for 9 months now, gave my biometrics in May 2020, no answer.
Somebody on the forum mentioned that the waiting time is up to an year now (due to Covid)

That post is related to the average application processing time and the person has not submitted the application.

Elina, Where have you submitted the application from? What is your average processing time as all places don't have the same processing time?

Hi rajkumarl my bad. The nine months were for UAE. I applied from Israel in March, gave my biometrics in May, and at that time the waiting time was like 25 weeks (5.7 months). The processing time was changing all the time, but never more than 25 weeks. So I am past that time a long time ago, almost approaching one year since I applied. Now if you check it's 18 weeks which is ridiculous!

This is not good at all. Did you try and reach out to IRCC? I'm exactly going through what you are going through.

Yeah, I used the IRCC Webform to notify them about the situation. I hope this week I'll have some news.
I got a ghost update in early September and nothing since then (at least whenever I would log in).
You are applying from Oman right?

Yes, applying from oman. I also had a ghost update in October 2020 and after that nothing.I have done the same submitted a webfrom. hope they respond with status this week. Lets see what happened

I wrote to IRCC through web form got a blank response after 1 month. Still waiting. Did you get any updates?

I got an automated response stating that all delayed due to Covid in the first week of March. Did you get any update?
