Work Permit Processing Time for Inland Application

Hi,

Does anyone know the current processing time of the work permit for inland application? Last time I heard it was 4 months. I checked the processing time on CIC's website and it says for Work Permit, it's 12 weeks. There are some exclusions and it has instructions to check Work Permit (New Employer). It's 31 days for the new employer work permit. Which one is really closer to reality?

Four months is closer to reality.

The 31 days is for closed work permits with a specific employers and unfortunately this processing time doesn't apply for OWPs.

Thanks scylla. If that's the case, I wonder if that's a huge incentive still for inland applicants as they are already aiming to reduce processing time to 12 months.

There is no more outland / inland as of Dec 15. All the forms have been redone and there is now only one application package.

The processing times for the OWP via the pilot program for Spousal Sponsorship is not listed online. It will always be 4 months--give or take.
