work permit/open work permit for indian citizen/spouse in USA

Hello all,

I have recently got my LMIA approved under NOC 4011 category and now employer wanted me to apply for work permit for me so that I start working . I am an Indian citizen living in USA who is maried to Indian citizen and we have an american born kid who is 2 years old. I have following questions regarding canadian work permit

1. Can I apply online and is the processing time faster if I apply online? I see processing time for work permit as 3 months in NYC center. does it apply for online applications also??

2. Can I apply open work permit for my wife along with mine? Does that slow up the process? If it slow up the process how do I get her as my dependent?

3. Since my son has US resident and is just 2 years, do I need to apply any permit (study permit etc) for him?

Any guidance or information from the experts is very much appreciated.

Did you get the visa stamped in passport ? Can you please update your processing time here ? I am in the same category as yours , except we don't have a kid. LMIA approved and was asked to sent passports to NewYork Visa office.

If you can share your timelines it will be very useful and informative.
