Hi Everyone,
I applied for my Inland Spousal PR application recently (last week) along with my Work Permit application and yet to receive AOR confirmation. According to the recent announcement from IRCC, work Permit Applications are taking 20 days to process .Does this change apply to me? or should I file work Permit separately . Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

For inland spousal sponsorship application, you need to wait for AOR before you can apply for OWP. How did you apply along with your OWP in the same application??

Agree that you applied for OWP incorrectly. You should withdraw the OWP application. Announcement timelines are likely aspirational and likely not actual processing timelines. You’ll need to wait for AOR for your sponsorship application and then apply for an OWP. Think it is more likely to be closer to a few months versus a month but we’ll all have to wait and see what are the results of the recent announcement. In general political announcements and what actually happens tend to be different but we’ll need to see how different.
