Work Permit on dependent visa

My Husband is in Canada. His visa is upto Jan,2014.But his workpermit and contract is upto May,2014.
I have a dependent visa till Jan'2014 in lieu of my husband.
I also have a copy of his workpermit and contract.

My company wants to process my visa too.In that case
1.Will my existing dependent visa be cancelled?
2.If after processing my visa my company does not send me, then can I travel to Canada with my existing dependent visa and apply for a spouse open work permit?

u cannot have two status at same time .
If ur company sponsors u and you get the work permit then ur dependent visa(i hope visit visa) will be cancelled.

Also please let me know:
If my company after processing my visa does not send me then can I visit my husband in Canada with my new Work visa, even without the contract letter?
If yes, can I get an Open WP there?
