Work permit may expire before my PR card arrives

I have an intra company transfer work permit which expires on 16th March 2012 and am worried it will expire before I get my permanent resident card.

I sent my application to Buffalo and it was received on March 21st 2011. They started processing on August 26th 2011 and it was then transferred to Ottawa to speed up processing on November 15th. When I log in to check the application status now it says a decision has been made but doesn't tell me what the decision is and I haven't heard anything since. I understand I still have the medical to do and an interview with an immigration officer.

If this isn't all done before March 16th, will I have to leave the country and start over with an out of country application, or can I leave and update the office with my new out of country address? Does anyone know if I can stay here without working until the process is complete? I'm very confused about what to do, any advice would be much appreciated!

Dude, i dont want to sound like a jerk here, but from the events of your application, it looks like a refusal to me. So you dont have to plan about medicals or PR card, think bout re-applying for immigration.

You should be receiving a letter very soon from Ottawa office on why your application is refused? The reason is, your file got transfered to Ottawa and the ecase status changed to decision made.

Oh one more thing, you cant stay in the country illegally and apply for immigration. Better go to your home land and apply from there. The case will still be transfered to Buffalo or whereever they will send your file.

It is most probably a rejection or a glitch in the system.

You should email Ottawa and find out what is happening.

I have emailed the Ottawa office but not heard back yet. Looking over other posts I have seen that a 'Decision Made' before medical usually means a rejection. I applied in March last year - does it normally take over 10 months for a rejection? Has anyone been in this situation and it turned out not to be a rejection? Thanks!

Just keep emailing them, till you hear something.
I think many of these intra-company transfers have been refused immigration.
