I am currently working in USA and i would like to move to Canada. My friend has his own IT company in Canada but there are no other employers except him in his company. He agreed to apply work permit for me. I have two questions will there any issues if there are no employees, if so what kind of queries they get.
2. I am trying to find a job, if i find the job through other employer if they are also willing to apply for the work permit how it is going to work out parallel. Please advise me can i go through my friend company and later if i found job can i go with that other company.
Please advise me. Thanks and i appreciate it.

1. You need to find out if your occupation/job falls under NAFTA. This will determine if your employer needs to obtain an LMIA (approval to hire you) before you can get a work permit. If you need an LMIA to get a work permit - this will make the process significantly more difficult for you. You can also assume that it will not be possible for your friend to obtain an approved LMIA.
2. If you receive a work permit, it will be a closed work permit meaning it only allows you to work for the specific employer it was issued for. If you want to work for a different employer, you will need to obtain a new work permit.
