work permit has expired last friday november 12,,please help ASAP

hi to everybody,

I didn't notice earlier that my work permit is already expired last november 12. And I have read that renewing of work permit must be 30 days before the expiration date. Anybody who can please help me what to do about my situation.

My employer is still willing to renew my contract but she also don't know what exactly to do about the processes/steps of renewing the contract.

You can apply for extension of work permit on line or in mail. Since your WP has expired, you will have to pay $200 to restore your status,You have up to 90 days after the expire date to apply to restore your status, but I suggest that you do it ASAP. other than that the procedure is the same with the extension of your WP. Of course you will be asked for the reason why you lost your status, and you better come up a good one.

You might need a new LMO to renew your contract with ur employer, depends on what do u do. LCP doesn't require for new LMO under same employer.
