My work permit is about to expire and I need to apply for an extension.
I am currently working under an open work permit but I will be staying with the same employer I am working for right now.
I have a PNP nomination and an Express Entry profile (no ITA yet).
I am just wondering if I need to apply for a regular work permit extension or for a open work permit (bridging work permit).
In case the work permit extension is correct, would I be applying for an extension with the same employer or does that count as new employer since the employer is not mentioned in my current work permit? I believe the applications are being forwarded to different areas in CIC and have different processing times.
