work permit extension queries

hi guys.

if im going to extend my work permit with the same employer (in the LMO i have 2 years but immigration only gave me a year bec my passport is expiring), do i still need to make an appointment or do i have to go straight to their immigration office here in alberta?

does anyone know what phone number can i make an appointment?

First of all do you have a new LMO? You need an updated Lmo even if you are just renewing a work permit. Also you need an updated passport. One that is not expiring soon.

Second if you have a new LMO and a new passport. You do not need or can't go to the calgary office to get a new one. You have to go online to the CIC website and look for the form apply to change conditions or extend your stay as as worker in canada.

Then you can send the application online or through mail with all the necessary forms and documents needed for the application. Or fill up the online application correctly and pay the fees. They will process your application and send you through mail the Renewed work permit.
