work permit extension at border

i have a open work permit and my pnp with same employer. The open work permit will be expiring in 2 months. i have applied my PR under paper based provincial categories.

(I recieved AOR in January and my PNP is expired)
Can any one suggest which border i could extend my work permit(address) and what things i need to take to border to extend?

you got AOR and you should apply extend work permit online or paper, then just wait the new work permit come back
don't need come to border. your work permit expired or not right now?

can you please tell me, why cant apply from border?
I thought border is less time.

Hey, I am also thinking to go to border for renewal of my work permit. Were you able to find out if we can go to border for the same?

I heard many get wp extension refused at the border when they are pnp.
The officers tell them they do not extend as the extension should be applied for online.
This happened to couple pnp I know.
It is safest to just apply online right away for your extension.
Until your new wp arrives if it should not come in time you can still keep on working as you will be under implied status
