My friend needs your expert opinion:
His wife is on closed work permit via 2 year LMIA and my friend is on open work permit. They were inside the Canada when they got LMIA and they did flag poling, however on that day Friend's spouse passport was expiring in 10 months time so she got the work permit till expiry of passport and so did my friend.
However they renewed the passport and applied for extension in April 2024, they received the acknowledgement of application from IRCC and confirmation that they can keep on working till September 24 or until the decision is made, which ever comes first.
As September 24, 2024 is approaching, can they keep on working or they should stop.
Their consultant has raised the web-form but nothing much happening on that front.
