Work Permit expiring and PCC application

Hello All,
I have been in the pool for about 4 weeks. I am expecting 470 in November since i am completing one year work experience in Canada. I am in a work permit and the work permit expires by December. I have applied for my work permit extension as directed by my company. Now i have the following queries and its eating my brains out.

1. Should i optimistically apply for PCC since my existing work permit expires in Dec. I am asking this since my visa stamping in the passport will expire post December 1st week.
2. Assuming i get an ITA in the first draw of November, if i apply for PCC after that, i might be in a position where my visa will expire in 2 weeks. I am not sure if PCC can be done within a visa that expires in 2 weeks.
3. Will a PCC be performed after my visa expires. My new visa will take more than 3 months from now to come. I cannot wait for my new visa to come and then apply for PCC, since after i receive the ITA, i will have only 2 months to submit my documentation.

Please help !

If you are talking about PCC from Canada where you are currently staying, then I believe you would not require it since CIC will do the checks on their own.

Based on your CRS, hopefully you will get your ITA in the next 1 or 2 draws from now. So, it is better to apply for your PCC now and make sure you send your PR application before 6 months from the date of issue of your PCC.

If you are talking about PCC from Canada where you are currently staying, then I believe you would not require it since CIC will do the checks on their own.

PR will require a PCC from India(My host country) i assume. In that case, i would need to file my PCC application in BLS.

That is the sole reason for me thinking to pro actively get the PCC. Since after my visa stamping in the passport expires, i am not sure if BLS will accept PCC for a expired visa.

An update -

BLS will only PCC applications with work permit validity of more than 6 months. Since mine is expiring in 1 month, they asked me to get a approval letter form the consulate general of India. I have no idea how to do that. Looking for ways to do that now !

Please let us know how you finally got your PCC . Did you manage to get an Approval Letter from Consulate General of India ?
