Work permit expired

Hello

My friends work permit expired and she didn't renew on time. She came to Canada via positive LMIA as a caregiver almost 2 years now. Does she need to apply for a restoration of status and get another LMIA? Once restored, I assume she needs to extend her work permit?

Yes - she needs to apply to restore her status.

Once she has an approved LMIA and job offer she would need to apply for a new work permit (not an extension).
