Work permit expired before Get PNPI in Alberta

Hi guys,

Please give me some advises!

My work permit will be expired Oct 2016, while waiting for PNPI in Alberta. I'm sure that I couldn't get it before the expired date.

Is my PNPI still effective after I leave Canada? Can I come back if my PNPI approved?

What should I do now? Please help me ,,,,,

if you r sure that u will not get your pnp before oct 16 then u should start prepration for
extend your workpermit with help of your employer.your employer has to do LMIA process which is
nowadays really hard. second AINP doesnt give nomination who hasnt work permit when they start their process
so many case i heard that they refused ainp because they loose their status or cant maintain. i think they will
not give you pnp while you are out of country becos of run of work permit. (they will call your employer when they
are about to done your application process and will get answer that u r not in canada)
chances r very slim for you that every thing goind smooth but hopes never die so keep try and get some more
advice before you leave country.

If I remember correctly it does show on the ainp website tgat you must have a valid work permit throughout the process.
So you will need to extend it before it expires. Prepare for your extension in time

Found it on the homepage of the government of alberta it still says the same . If you do not extend your work permit and it expires you can not do alberta pnp ( ainp )


Keeping your work permit valid

You must have a valid work permit and valid temporary resident status to remain eligible for the AINP. It is extremely important that you do not let your work permit and temporary resident status expire while you wait for your AINP application to be assessed. You are responsible for maintaining your status to work in Canada. The processes to renew your work permit and temporary resident status are separate from your AINP application.

Befor will get provincial certificate, officer will sent you letter with some questions : 1) valid work permit; 2) new lmia; 3) last payrolls for 3 months

Befor will get provincial certificate, officer will sent you letter with some questions : 1) valid work permit; 2) new lmia; 3) last payrolls for 3 months

We never got a letter. We had a phone call and employer had proof that employment is still in place before certificate was issued back then
