I Have Selected A COOP Course,In Fanshawe Collage(SPP) So Is There Any Option To Get A Work Permit On Arriving,A Friend Of My Got The Same Study And Work Permit.But When I Asked The Consultancy They Say You Must Complete 6 Months

So I Require A Expert Suggestion From You

Hi,


For Co-op based course, you need a letter from your school stating that co-op is an integral part of your regular program and thn, apply at Case Processing Centre, Alberta, Vegreville. It's not possible to apply for co-op work permit and study permit at the same time.

To be eligible for a co-op work permit you need;

I quote,

•You must have a valid study permit.
•Your intended employment must be an essential part of your program of study in Canada.
•Your employment must be part of your academic program, certified by a letter from a responsible academic official of the institution.
•Your co-op or internship employment cannot form more than 50 percent of the total program of study


* In my last post (please read the last sentence) where I said that it's not possible to get co-op work permit as well as study permit at the same time, actually I was intending for off campus work permit and study permit. I am not sure if it's possible to apply for co-op + study permit at the same time, but it looks you can, because the mandatory requirement of 6 months on campus does not apply in case of co-op work permit application.
