Work Permit Dependent Visa

Dear Sir/Mam,

As i am to this website new if i made any mistake please forgive me...

My question is if the person is in Canada on Work Permit and his spouse wants to apply for canada then which visa category is suitable for her.......
(I have search on the net and i found that she can apply for Visitor or work visa, Dependent Visa is not possible. If Dependent visa is possible please send the Canada Immigration Link where it is clearly mention that spouse can apply on dependent Visa)

And which are document she needs to arrange for the process....?


Please help on urgent basis..

Hi, Canada doesn't use the term "dependant visa", that's why you can't find any forms for such a thing.

If your job considered high skilled, i.e., falls under NOC 0, A or B, then your spouse would be eligible to apply for an open work permit but she'd also need a Temporary Resident Visa or visit visa.

Regardless what kind of job you have, your spouse can apply for a visit visa at any time but her chances of getting it are higher if your job is high skilled and if she can prove she has strong ties to compel her to return home at the end of her visa validity.

Hi @amira_mais and respected members. I have the following questions. As I'm new and my questions will be at very basic level so kindly apologies for these very basic level questions.

My spouse is in Canada in temp visitor visa now with me and I'm in work permit working as IT consultant with NOC0. I would like to apply for work permit for my spouse. Could you pls let me know the process?

She have current temp visitor visa valid till Sep next year, if we apply for work permit will see get the same validity?

Will see able to work till the work permit expiry date even ( Me primary work permit holder) exits country before the validity of my work permit expiry?
