Work permit denied; restoration of visitor status ONLINE

Long story short, my work permit recently got rejected and now I've got 90 days to either leave the country or apply for restoration of status as a [visitor].

I went here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visitor.asp but it asks me to fill out a questionnaire if I choose to apply online. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but I don't know how to answer some questions.

What are my intentions? To stay here as a visitor while my PR is being processed. For how long? Don't know, but definitely longer than 6 months. My problem is with selecting my current immigration status in Canada. Since my work permit expired I don't have any status whatsoever.

You need to apply for restoration, I believe the on line is for extending a current visa - I think you need to mail it in. Please wait for others to reply too

P.S Once you actually apply for visa extension, they need a genuine reason for staying as a visitor - don't use words like " as PR in process " and 6+ months is too tough, mainly good for Parents visa extension
