Im from India and just received my open work permit which is valid till June 23,2019 as my passport will expire on that date.
In the letter I received from cic it says "
A permit authorizing you to work will be issued to you
on your arrival to Canada following an examination by an officer of the Canada Border Services Agency".
Also, "
Your passport must be
valid beyond the period you intend to remain in Canada. If not, the validity of your work permit will not be issued
beyond the expiry date of your passport"
Since my spouse has work permit till 2020 and I wish to stay with her till 2020, if I renew my passport before landing , will they issue work permit till my spouse's work permit end date provided I present them with necessary documents ?
