Hello guys,

I applied for a Work Permit with Global Talent Stream LMIA outside of Canada. Unfortunately my
work permit has not been approved after waiting for 2 months. I wanted to ask if it is still possible to
apply for a work permit at the port of entry even though I have an online application and how it might
affect in me receiving my work permit?

Strictly speaking, no, you cannot go to the border to get the WP because you have applied online.
Are you applying for WP from outside of Canada or inside? A friend of mine applied online outside of Canada, took her literately just 3.5 weeks to get the request to send in the passport (also LMIA)
There is web-form that you could use to inquire your case-specific, but I think you have done it already?
The other thing I can think of is missing some docs: Police Certificate, Employement Cert., Upfront medical, biometric, etc...

If you are visa-exempt and have all of your documents in hand, you can apply at a POE.

He said that he had applied online, it is probably being processed right now but he could not wait (2 months) so he wanted to know if he could go to the PoE and apply there now.
Had he not have applied online, and he is visa-exempt coutry, he could.

Having an online app does not preclude OP from applying at a POE. The online app can be withdrawn after.

I see. But he should not tell them that he already applied online then? And how do you withdraw the online application if it's approved or even if it's in process? There would be a button to "withdraw" or you just let it slip if IRCC request for some paper (mean you just let it expires)...
Would it has any impact on your future applications (PR, extension, etc...)?

No point in trying to hide it. CBSA can see apps in the system. You just submit a withdrawal request through Webform. Why would it impact future apps? It's not against the rules.

There was a case if you tell the border officer that you had applied, they would advise you to wait for final decision!
So I see that the OP has apparently choices here

Nothing is guaranteed with CBSA. Many people have done this successfully when IRCC was taking too long.
