Work Permit Application problem primary passport

Hey I have a problem with my application for a international experience visa!

A few months ago I applied for a temporary work permit (International experience) and a few days ago, I received an invitation to apply for a visa. Now I would have to upload all of the necessary documents but the problem is that the document "Personal details" is still showing the status "in progress" which is due to me not having indicated a primary passport, but the data of my actual passport is already saved (without the indication "primary passport") in a way that I cannot change it and when I try to enter my passport information again it will only say "ID documents must not match a previously entered record". So, it stays "in progress" and I am unable to continue my application. Please help I only have a few days left to submit my application!!!

Hi Alla,

I'm in the same boat. I wanted to jump into this thread in case someone replies as I'm getting to the stage where I might just delete and start over the application. I cannot remove the other passport but it is the exact same as the one I enter in and I cannot set the preloaded one as the primary.

Hey everyone,

Same problem with me. Curiously, setting up my passport as primary (but still with the same unremovable one being there) worked two days ago so I was able to upload my documents. I guess there are just some technical issues to be fixed. If you have not reported this as technical issue, I would suggest you do, so they know its a common problem.

Same problem here. Even it doesnt help, I am happy that I am not the only one with this problem. I tried to type my passport in as the primery one, even it is already there. Nothing works. I also texted the technical support but for 2 days nobody replied.
If somebody finds the solution to this problem, please write it also on this side.

Hey guys,

Take a look at this,
Canada Immigration Forum > Immigration to Canada > General - All Canadian Immigration > Topic: IEC application - primary passport.
Some other guy figured out a solution: "Just try to enter the passport string in lowercase instead of uppercase." (I cannot guarantee).
For anyone who is desperately and in a hurry, this might be a way. Anyway I can hardly imagine that this is the way it is intended by CIC office.
I would rather suggest to keep reporting the issue so they might fix it technically, also with respect to future applicants.

Hey guys!

I have the exact same problem as all of you. I don't remember to have seen the option to set the passport as primary in previous forms. So I guess it's a technical problem. I really hope they fix it soon. Time is running away for me, too...

I am not very convinced by the idea to write everything in lowercase as Canadian Immigration is very well known to be restrictive and check everything very well.

So I guess the best for all of us is to keep calling CIC and keep reporting the technical issue so they see it's a major problem for several people.

Did you get it fixed or you ran out of time? I only have a few days left too. I don't know what to do?!
