Work permit and open work permit

Hi guys!
I am currently working here in Quebec holding a temporary working visa. My work permit already expired last Aug29, 2017 but we were able to file it before that date. Now i just opened an express entry profile and was accepted to the pool. My question is can i apply for open work permit while in the pool or do i need to wait until i receive my ITA?0r/ and until i receive my permit extension ?

You don't qualify for an open work permit at this time. Being in the pool gets you nothing. You'll need to wait until you've received ITA and submitted your application.

Sorry i didnt get what you mean to your first question. I work as a nurse here in quebec, it needs LMIA

Were you initially issued a shorter work permit due to passport expiry? Or did your employer obtain a new LMIA?
