All those who applied according to the new visa rules in June and got their visa .... Do yll know what are the rules about working from first day ... I mean if we still have to wait for six months or not .... And how will we know that we can work from the first day or not ??!! :-[ ???

@KRIS91... You can work from day one... I have heard that the work rights are endorsed on your study permit according to the new rules.....

You probably can't start work until you start your classes.

and u need a SIN before u can get employment ...it will take a day to get SIN though
 
hello KRIS91,

In order for you to work (being a foreign student), you first must be enrolled in school and actively pursuing your studies, that will make you eligible to work part-time during the academic year and full-time during class breaks.

It makes no sense that CIC would hand out study permits so that students can begin working right away and forget about school. Your main purpose to come to Canada is to pursue studies.

i think you should apply a sin first, but the process of get a SIN is very fast, so i think you could start to work on the first day you arrive canada.

No, you have to have started your studies, before you can commence working.
 
It means we cant work if we reach their early??? we have to wait for the classes to get started.?? :o :o :o

Yes, and probably that's why they want to see a lot more funds than actually required if you land there well in advance because 'commencement of studies' is a requirement in order to be able to work and how else will you earn.
