Hi Guys.

In a Nut shell, I'm from Australia on a 2 Year WHP Visa.
I entered Canada a year ago, and my Visa expires in 2 months.

I've re-applied for another WHP Visa and as far as I know everythings fine in regards to that.

It says on the WHP Visa that I need to leave the Country and Re-enter with proof of $4000 in funds and travel insurance blah blah blah.

Alot of other Australians have told me they just road trip to Montana, stay for a weekend , then re-enter Canada, get a new WHP Visa Permit granted and it's done.

Is it really that easy? I've got the funds, I've got the insurance, and I've got my WHP visa Letter of Introduction, I literally just need a customs officer to print the slip of paper saying Yes you can stay here.

Is it seen as unethical or illegal what I'm doing? I'm trying to abide by the rules and leave Canada, I've got a Visa Wavier for the United States, and I'm re-entering and doing everything right..

Anyone have any experience with this? Words to use and not use? I'm thinking of getting a letter from my employer saying That I'm guaranteed work and income and ect ect, as well as a written letter from my Girlfriend signed saying she'll take care of me.

1. It is fine, you don't even have to stay in the US. You can "flagpole" . You go the US side of the border, tell them that you are wanting to validate your work permit, they issue administrative rejection (no effect of future admissions) you return to Canadian side, with required documents, work permit issued.
2. You don't need anything else, other than passport, intro letter, proof of funds, insurance, (some IEC require proof of return transportation, so check) and bobs your uncle.
