Hi everybody,

I graduated from University in May 2015 and I obtained an open PGWP. My occupation is an A-Type; however until I find a job in this specific occupation, I worked in two different B and C Type jobs. Currently I have one year experience in my actual A-type occupation, so that should not be a problem, but:

- Do I have to indicate these jobs before ITA?
- Could I report them after ITA and what kind of documentation is required?
- Should pre-graduation full-time coop experience (in Canada and outside Canada) be indicated?
- (BONUS QUESTION) I am an Engineer-in-Training (EIT). Does the EIT enrollment certificate from the Professional Engineering Regulatory Body of my respective province count as certificate of qualification?

Thanks very much for your help! :)

Initially, you need only mention the number of full years of work experience. Then you fill in the dates (month/year) for each job.

You will need to get a letter of reference from each employer. This part is a real time suck. The letter needs specific details. You can supplement letters with tax information, pay stubs, anything that proves you worked there during the stated dates.

This experience does not count while you were studying full time. Probably best to not include, since you will need to get employment reference letters and evidence described above.

Hmm, I think certifications are only important for the Federal Skilled Workers class, and you would most likely qualify under Canadians Experience Class. You can check what your score would be by using this calculator:

Thanks for your swift response! What I am mainly worried is matching my tax returns that I have been filing for the past 6 years and they will ask the purpose of the breaks (such as co-op/internship abroad). Still for the first part, can I indicate that period as job search even though I worked in different NOC jobs (because technically I am looking for a job in a different area)?

It is worth to note that these jobs are shorter than 6 months.
