WORK FROM HOME - Canadian PR

Hi All,
Hope you all are doing good.
I am confused about onething from the past few days please let me know your thoughts.

I am Canadian PR currently residing in Canada.I am trying to figure out if a person residing in Canada can work for a US client using the work from home option? Provided the US company is willing to provide that option.

Others can comment by why do you think this is a problem , as a PR you can work for whomever you want whether that be in country or out as long as meeting resindency.

Plus given you will be working from home in Canada you would still I assume be meeting residency requirements and continue to meet your income tax requirements.
