Hi all! I wonder if it's OK to use the nomination to apply for a work permit from the first employer and use it to work with another employer? This might happen to me because the employer who signed for my SINP application already got another worker but hopefully, she will not turn down my application for nomination since it's in the middle of processing right now. Will I still need to work for the employer who signed for my nomination? I'm afraid she will not have any vacancy this time.....
I still want to work in the same field but might just look for another employer, God-willing I got nominated and be able to apply for work permit. Will this be possible?

Thank you for your time and input!

The work permit you will get will be tied to the employer through which you received nomination, therefore, you can not use that work permit to work anywhere else.

Thank you for your reply sharuu! I really still want to work with her but it seems she won't need me if there's no available position, so I'm thinking of working for a different employer since I also need to earn. Will that mean she really needs to get me (no matter what) since she's the one who signed the forms for my nomination? I really look forward to working with her still....

Thanks again!

Hi JCS, I wanna thank you again for giving me the idea of contacting one of the MLAs! It went okay but I was just able to speak with the MLA's secretary and I think they talked to SINP. Last week, someone from the SINP called me and asking me about my status so I told them that I know my responsibility of staying legally here in Canada so I extended my stay (via online) about two months ago but haven't received anything from the mail yet about our extended stay so I'm in an implied status this time. I'm thinking of calling the one who I spoke with from the SINP if I won't be hearing anything 'til next week since she gave me her number and told me to call if I have some inquiries.. I hope everything will be in my favor and the processing will be done quickly.
Thanks again!
