Hi to all!

I started working on june 07 and got my skilled position on august of 2008 and then quit the job on april 2009. then went back at the same job on march 2010 to nov 2010, then went for a vacation dec 2010 to feb 2011. worked again with the same company on march 2011 to april 2011 until found a new job (skilled work)august 2011 to present. So far the total months that i worked is 20.

My question is, can i apply for federal skilled if my work experience is gain from partial employment for a year. One guy told me it should be a full-time job and 1 year experience the least. Is landscaping industries are exempted on 1 year full time job, coz likely most of them are seasonal.. The thing is that my previous and current employment here in canada is laid us off during the winter times coz lack o f works. What can i do, and how will i do it. Please help.

Thanks a lot!

The first thing you should know is if your work experience falls under the 29 NOC list.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

If not, you can't apply via Federal Skilled Worker program. You must wait till July 2012 if ever your work experience will be included.

You must meet the following minimum work experience requirements to be eligible to apply as a skilled worker:
 You must have at least one year of full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time employment.
 Your work experience must be in an occupation of Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B of the Canadian National Occupation. Classification (NOC). See below for instructions on determining the NOC category for your work experience.
 You must have had this experience within the last 10 years.

What's your work experience (NOC)? All of your work experience are in Canada? Are you in Canada now? Pinoy ka ba? :D

If you can arrange your employment there, the NOC list requirement is waived and as well as the Proof of Fund (as far as I know). They call it AEO - Arranged Employment Opinion http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/aehrdcassess.shtml

post ka na lang sa English para makasdagot din ang di Pinoy :D
