The 1 year work experience gained for express entry or any-other pathways, does it have to be gained under a single employer or could I change jobs between employers but in the same field and in the same job title and duties?

You can change employers but there cannot be a break in your experience. Your epxerience must be continuous.

Break as in like 3 to 4 months gap?

what i mean is, while in employment at one place let say 6 months, I get another job offer, and I decide to quit the first job and move to the second job within like 2 weeks of notice.

No, I don't mean 3-4 months.

Even a break of a week or two is too long. Work experience must be continuous. Continuous means without breaks. So you finish working with one employer on a Friday and start with the new one on the following Monday.

Agreed as a friend had to start all over again after a 2 month gap....
